Anthropic proposes measurements for AI-led research and agent oversight

A new report presents an R&D automation index, monitoring coverage and review-latency measures, and compute-allocation snapshots. Anthropic reports that Claude led 26% of measured R&D work in August, while no measured subset was fully autonomous. The numbers are internal estimates with methodological limits.
