Apple plans stronger consent controls for AI agents with Full Disk Access
Apple says it will introduce additional macOS controls so granting Full Disk Access requires very explicit user action. The developer notice warns that this permission can expose files, mail, messages and browsing history, including other people's communications. Apple links the change to increasingly capable AI agents, but has not specified a rollout date or announced that the new controls are already live.
