Claude Opus 5.5 cuts the cost of long-running agent work

Anthropic says Opus 5.5 matches Fable 5.1 on most work while costing 40% less per typical task, with $4 input, $20 output, and $0.20 cache-read pricing per million tokens. The model is available across Claude platforms and major clouds, adds stronger agentic coding and computer-use performance, and ships with expanded safeguards for high-risk work.
