Deno team joins Cloudflare to combine celld and Workers technology

Deno and Cloudflare announced that the Deno team is joining Cloudflare to combine celld with the open-source workerd runtime and develop a self-hosted Workers and Durable Objects platform. Both companies describe this as a plan for future development; the combined platform is not presented as an already shipped integration. The original posts do not disclose a purchase price or transaction structure. Cloudflare and Deno point to persistent, distributed components as useful for agent infrastructure.
