EU cites its first AI Act harmonized quality-management standard
A Commission implementing decision published in the EU Official Journal on October 14 cites EN 18286:2026 for high-risk AI systems. The citation gives qualifying providers a presumption of conformity for the standard’s covered quality-management requirements under the AI Act. It does not certify every AI system or replace other AI Act duties; the standard itself was published earlier.
