EU Commission presents an education package that includes safer AI use in schools
The European Commission presented an Education and Skills Package on November 5 addressing basic skills, teacher shortages and use of AI and digital tools in schools. It also says eight member states formed an education technology consortium on November 3 to pool trusted services and data exchange. The package is a Commission initiative, not a newly effective AI mandate for schools.
