EU launches pledges for researcher access to AI tools and compute

The European Commission says its RAISE AI in Science Enablers initiative launched October 15. Companies and philanthropic groups have pledged in-kind access to AI models, cloud credits, data, software and research support. The original page lists Google, Mistral, NVIDIA and others with differing commitments. These are voluntary pledges with separate implementation details; the initiative is not a direct cash grant or universal access program for researchers.
