EU scientific panel reviews frontier AI loss-of-control incidents

The European Commission said its Scientific Panel has been investigating recent loss-of-control incidents and, with the AI Office, prepared questions for the developers involved. At an October 9 meeting the panel was to present safety recommendations. The notice names no developer, announces no finding or sanction, and does not adopt a new rule. The development concerns EU oversight of frontier-model risks.
