MiniMax Code lets users build persistent agent-backed Mini Apps

MiniMax launched Mini Apps in local sessions of its macOS and Windows Code desktop app. They pair a live frontend and Node backend with hosted MCP and agent calls, so users can keep a working interface alongside a conversation. The company also released a creator command and an open community repository; installed Mini App code runs locally as the user, so source and permissions need review.
