Codex 0.157 makes background agent sessions easier to start and safer to move

OpenAI's Codex 0.157 release starts the background server automatically for eligible interactive sessions, lets users fork conversations that are open in another app while preserving drafts and queued prompts, and enables imports in remote and background-server sessions. The release also enforces network restrictions across redirects and ongoing HTTP or WebSocket traffic, keeps voice conversations alive across thread changes, and retries transient file uploads.
