OpenAI shuts down the Sora 2 model aliases and Videos API

OpenAI's published deprecation schedule says the Videos API and the sora-2, sora-2-pro, and dated Sora 2 snapshots were removed on September 24, 2026. The table lists no direct replacement. The consumer Sora product had already been discontinued in April, so teams with remaining API workflows need to verify failures, archive provenance, and choose a new video pipeline deliberately.
