OpenAI updates model-provider rules effective November 20
OpenAI published updated Usage Policies effective November 20, 2026. Its announcement says services that directly provide OpenAI models, including model routers and AI gateways, must seek OpenAI review and approval before offering that access; partners must also maintain safeguards and coordinate on misuse.
