Perplexity adds page fetching and freshness controls to Decisions API

Perplexity’s November API changelog says a URL-only state in web_grounding mode can fetch page text before the decision model answers. Developers can set max_staleness to require a fresher crawl and inspect the fetched result. Each successful URL fetch costs $0.001 in addition to searches and input tokens. The official entry gives only a month, so the original release day remains unknown.
