Runway tests whether a media-model router can cut video costs without wrecking quality

Runway evaluated four routing strategies across roughly 250 image-to-video prompts. Its vendor-run report says the uncapped quality router reached a 77% usable rate at $1.28 per clip versus 78% at $1.80 for a fixed Seedance 2.5 baseline, while a $1 cap reached 74% at $0.61. The cheapest configuration fell to 38% usable at $0.30, showing the tradeoff between routing for cost and routing for production quality.
