Anthropic halves Sonnet 5.5 cache-read pricing

Anthropic lowered Claude Sonnet 5.5 cache reads from $0.20 to $0.10 per million tokens while its $2 input and $10 output rates remain the same. Teams that reuse long prompts may pay less; Anthropic’s roughly 20% agent-work saving is a workload-dependent company estimate, not a guaranteed bill reduction.

Claude Max and Team plans gain monthly API credits

Anthropic is rolling out monthly Claude Platform credits: $100 for Max 5x, $200 for Max 20x, and pooled Team credits of $20 per Standard seat or $100 per Premium seat, capped at $500. New subscribers wait seven days before claiming; an eligible owner links one Console organization. Credits expire each billing cycle and do not cover interactive Claude Code, Claude apps, or third-party cloud hosting.
