Marvell signs a $115 billion all-stock agreement to buy Lumentum

Marvell and Lumentum announced a definitive all-stock acquisition agreement on November 2. Their release gives Lumentum an implied enterprise value of about $115 billion, with Lumentum shareholders to receive 4.5 Marvell shares per share. The companies aim to combine electrical and optical networking for AI infrastructure. This is a signed, proposed deal—not a closed acquisition. It is expected to close in the first half of 2028 only if shareholder, regulatory and other conditions are met; projected synergies and market size are company forecasts.
