    OpenRouter shifts Auto Router toward higher-cost models by default

    With its new Auto Router, OpenRouter says default routing moved closer to a higher-cost tier to include more models. Customers who preferred the prior lower-cost pattern can set cost_tier to low. This is a change in default selection and potential spend, not a published fixed per-token price increase or guaranteed bill.
