    XRlabs says Playground Global led an $8.4 million seed round to develop its software layer for live surgical video and operating-room systems. It reports use in more than 100 cases under varying clinical conditions, but broader deployment and regulatory approvals remain future work. The financing amount is distinct from proven medical effectiveness.
