Airbnb says AI handled 40% of support issues without a human in Q3

In its Q3 2026 results, Airbnb said its AI assistant resolved about 40% of all support issues without a human, up from roughly one-third in Q2, and now supports more than 50 languages. The company reported support cost per booking down more than 17% year over year and attributed much of that to AI; that attribution is a company claim, not independent causal proof. Voice support is expanding in the US. A travel agent is planned for the first half of 2027, not live.
