Google releases EmbeddingGemma 2 for on-device media search

Google DeepMind released 740-million-parameter EmbeddingGemma 2, which maps text, code, images, audio and video into one search space. Google says weights are on Hugging Face and Kaggle under Apache 2.0; Model Garden support is described as coming soon. The model could help developers build private media search, but benchmark and memory figures are Google-reported.
