NAVER signs Brookfield compute agreement worth up to $9 billion

NAVER says it signed an agreement under which a Brookfield-funded vehicle would invest up to $9 billion in GPUs and data centers and supply compute to NAVER Cloud. NAVER says this meets a precondition for a planned NVIDIA equity investment, but the equity issuance details are still to come. The companies target 55 MW in the first half of 2027, not capacity operating now; NAVER also agreed to guarantee some subsidiary usage obligations for up to eight years.
