OpenAI plans to share ChatGPT and Codex usage allowances from December

OpenAI says Plus, Pro and Business plans will start sharing a token-measured allowance across ChatGPT and Codex in December as Work capabilities move into the main ChatGPT experience. Instant chat will not draw from that allowance. Users will be able to see combined remaining usage and reset times; eligible features can use purchased credits after the allowance is spent. The help page does not give an exact December start date or a fixed token amount, and the change is planned rather than already effective.
