Splice opens a Mac music studio with voice and text controls in beta

Splice launched Create as a Mac beta that combines its licensed sample catalog, instruments and effects with an assistant users can control by voice or text. The app is free to try, but exporting a project and licensing Splice samples require a qualifying subscription. Splice advertised Create Pro at an introductory $9.99 a month; the current plans page does not display that price in its public text, so buyers should confirm checkout terms. Windows and web are planned, not available yet.
