Google adds voice remixing to Gemini 3.8 TTS
Google released voice remixing for Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS on November 4. Creators and developers can modify a prebuilt or designed voice with text instructions and store a new voice ID for use with Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS or Flash-Lite TTS. The feature is available in Google AI Studio and the voice API; it creates a new voice persona rather than cloning a person from an uploaded recording. Teams should check voice-use rights and the API’s current billing before production.
