    FigmaPayload in Figma MakeProducts

Figma adds Payload CMS and a hosted backend to Make

Figma integrated Payload into Make so teams can prompt and publish websites with a database, file storage, user login, APIs and a content editor. Marketers can update site content through Payload’s admin panel while developers customize the open-source framework. Access is rolling out to all plans over coming weeks; Payload-backed hosting is in beta and currently free, with future pricing unannounced.

Figma opens code layers beta to all plans

Figma moved code layers into open beta on October 15 across all plans. Teams can import lightweight prototype code from GitHub or local folders, capture a website, convert designs to working code, compare versions on the canvas and ask Figma’s agent to revise them. This is a rollout of an existing feature, not a new model trained by Figma.

Figma launches shared Specs for teams and coding agents

Figma began rolling out Specs in open beta on web, desktop and mobile for paid plans. The shared Markdown documents can sit beside designs, diagrams and code layers on the canvas; teams can embed Figma objects, collaborate with the Figma agent, and pass a linked spec through Figma MCP to a coding agent. Access is staged, not universal on launch day.

FigmaCode layers credit termsPricing & Access

Figma waives code layers AI credits on paid plans until November 4

Figma says creating and editing code layers in its new open beta uses AI credits, but those actions are free on paid plans through November 4, 2026. The open beta itself is available across plans. Figma has not announced the later credit rate in this source, so the promotion should not be described as permanent free access.
