    Workday signs deal to buy C1.ai for agent access controls

    Workday signed a definitive agreement to acquire C1.ai, which manages access for employees and AI agents across connected systems. The companies plan to connect those controls to Workday. Closing is expected by January 31, 2027, subject to conditions; the announcement does not say the acquisition has closed or that the integration is live.
