Dropbox starts rolling out AI that works directly on team files
Dropbox says eligible teams can ask its AI to find, summarize, create, organize and edit work in existing folders, including PDFs, images, recordings and video clips. It asks for approval before changes, retains file permissions and provides an action record. The company says the experience has reached more than 70,000 teams; that is its reported rollout count, not independently measured outcomes.

Dropbox plans to acquire Tigris to expand into AI storage
Dropbox announced a planned acquisition of Tigris Data, which offers globally distributed object storage for AI workloads. The companies say the deal would speed Dropbox’s new infrastructure business; the release does not say it has closed or disclose a purchase price. A live DBX Agent Cloud launch is a separate product event.

Dropbox opens a standalone storage layer for AI builders
Dropbox introduced DBX Agent Cloud, starting with S3-compatible object storage that companies can buy independently to keep data and model artifacts usable across cloud and compute providers. Filesystem and content-processing capabilities are plans for later; the announcement does not establish that those components are live.

Dropbox limits its initial AI rollout to eligible paid teams in three countries
Dropbox says its new file-workflow AI has rolled out to more than 70,000 teams, initially eligible Standard and Advanced accounts in the US, UK and Australia, in English. It plans broader availability in 2027. This is an access rollout, not a price cut or universal launch for every Dropbox account.
